Mike,

Try putting "GB7HQ" into Google!

It will lead you to the very comprehensive www.GB7HQ.com website which
includes full details of all the GB7HQ stations, the operators, photos of
all the sites etc. [There's even a nice YouTube video on the 20m CW page.]

The GB7HQ site also includes the scores and results for the last five years,
as well as details of the GB7HQ Awards. There's a link from the 2008
Operators page to a Google map showing the location of all the GB7HQ
stations around the UK.

What more do you need?

Yes, it might not be a bad idea if there were a link from the RSGB web-site
to the GB7HQ website, but that's not for me to decide!

Subject: [UK-CONTEST] IARU HF and GB7HQ

What an interesting weekend (well 24 hours!). I managed to get more QSOs
and Mults than my previous best effort but fell well short on the points.
What happened to the NA pile ups - even running 100w I can normally get a NA
run going this year my best run was 14 (yes 14) Q's and only 1 was NA.
Did any one else experience this?

Got GB7HQ on all 6 bands but the difference in signal level had to be heard
to be believed. I have WAV files of all 6 SSB QSOs -if any of the GB7HQ ops
are interested I'll drop them a copy. They are ok with the exception of the
10m one which I cannot hear!!!! For some unexplained reason all my WAV files
were recorded at a very low level (something else to check out)

A suggestion for the organisers of GB7HQ. Why not use G7HQ, GM7HQ, GW7HQ,
GI7HQ, GU7HQ and GJ7HQ? It would make locating HQ stations a bit easier on
the HF bands (particulary 10m & 15m). Whilst struggling to peak the signals
from GB7HQ I had a look at the RSGB web site to see if the GB7HQ QTHs were
listed - found nothing so had a look at the HFCC web site presumably the
policy on that web site is to cover UK contests only. So did I miss a link
on a web site?
