[UK-CONTEST] Vanity Calls

Just cheeked their website Les and it is accurate. What happens if
someone wanted that as a Special Contest Callsign or maybe they have it
already and it has been granted a variation?
"GS8R is a unique call sign specially issued by the licensing
authorities, to be used in part of a programme of activities, including:
lectures, concerts, visits by Viking longships, exhibitions etc. to
commemorate the 850 anniversary of the death of St Rognvald (pronounced
Ronald). In Norway our sister special event station will operate from
Bringsværd, within a few hundred metres of where Rognvald was born. GS8R
will operate at Scapa Bay, within a few hundred metres of where Rognvald
embarked and disembarked on his journeys across the Pentland Firth to
Scotland and further afield."
So, maybe I can get a variation to use GU8D during the weekend of 6/7
September when the Central Contest Association joins up with its friends
on Guernsey to celebrate the 10th anniversary of G*8D. There will be
various social and educational activities such as Dinner at the Auberge
du Val on Friday evening, tips on wine tasting by GU4CHY and lectures on
how to use a K3 by G3SJJ. On-air activity will take place between the
hours of 1300z Saturday and 1300z Sunday, on 80/40/20/15/10 SSB only.
The commemoration will end with a finale, venue to be advised, in the
usual style which has marked all previous meetings of the group. It is
hoped that those returning to the mainland on Monday morning will feel
well enough!
