[UK-CONTEST] End of an era

Thought this might be of interest to some people. I spent the day with 
our friends who came over from Chesterfield. I first met Roger G3YBO and 
Sue when I was 21, shortly after my dad died. I had taken my mum to 
HB9/OE as a recuperation holiday for us both after 10 years of looking 
after my dad who had severe Parkinson's Disease. We met at OE7UD's QTH 
whilst they were on honeymoon. Roger was MP4TBO and we made skeds on 10m 
with me using my KW2000 and a dipole stretched diagonally across my 
bedroom!! Anyway, he returned to UK and eventually worked for Jack 
Tweedy G3ZY in his ham radio shop at Chesterfield. It eventually became 
an SMC "emporium" with Roger as Manager and more recently owned by W & 
S. It closes for good next week. End of an era.
