[UK-CONTEST] Short Contest Calls

It is entirely reasonable- but quite unrealistic- to expect Ofcom and
RSGB/HFCC to publish such information in a timely fashion in electronic
form, on their web sites. In the case of Ofcom they clearly have more
important fish to fry, but what RSGB/HFCC's excuse might be, I know not.
However, and importantly, as holder of the GW7X NoV I WAS (yes I am
shouting here) so advised in writing by Ofcom of the addition of RDXC,
only shortly after the renewal notice was rendered inaccurate by the
update. I therefore advised the members of Contest Cambria of the
change, and we have been planning a major effort ( well a dabble
anyway!) in RDXC since that time ( November 2007 I think). If I had not
done this, I would have expected and deserved to be kicked from backside
to breakfast time ( these are technical terms N.B. ;-) ), and I would
therefore suggest that members of a group holding an SCC, who have not
been so advised take equivalent action against the holder of their own NoV.
It is unclear what action might be taken against HFCC, but being
pilloried, or banned from all RSGB contests in perpetuity come most
readily to mind. Yes I know, this seems overly lenient, but I am known
as a forgiving person ;-)
