[UK-CONTEST] Contest tips?

Hello all, I'm new to the list but recognise some of the posters!

I was wondering if any of you have any tips for contesting?  I have only 
been licensed since 2003, and after 3 years of being incredibly mike-shy 
have started doing the odd contest or event.  I had a fantastic time 
taking part in the CQ WW SSB event in October of last year, and am 
hoping to take part in the big CQ WPX SSB this weekend.
