Congratulations to Andy on a great score. It rather puts the part-time

Comments:
Part-time entry, with just two operators. Did not start until a few hours
in to the contest. Had ten hours off over the Saturday night and then had
to go to a Christening on Sunday. All in all a very casual effort.
Hard work, with the anticipated good run to North America (and the endless
multipliers) on the LF bands not materialising until late on Sunday evening.
The single QSO on 10m was an Italian who was 20 over nine and the only
signal on the entire band. We did not attempt 160m, because of the noise
and the aerial was too low. The tower was not wound up because of the gale
force winds. The nine contacts on the band took out the wireless router,
which refused to re-boot for 30 minutes. Not experienced that before, but
400W from a piece of wire about 10 feet from the router was tempting fate.
Will need to re-engineer the 160m aerial for future operations.
This contest always brings out some weird and wonderful calls. But I would
hesitate to do a 48 hour contest with some of the tongue twisters that were
around this weekend. LZ130LO springs to mind together with YO22NATO.
