[UK-CONTEST] Tuning a wire for 80/160m CW/RTTY/PSK contests

Good morning all....after reading the posts about contest aerials for 80/160m, I need to put a new set up in place here.

I can do an inverted L [fishing pole - say 10-14m up and 10-12m horizontal], or extend it to a triangle [as before but with approx 13m sloping extension back to near ground level]. Is it worth adding the extra length?

The feeder is already in place under the patio to the bottom of the garden, the problem is there's no mains power down there. I'm looking at the CG-3000 to tune the wire, but where to source its power? A battery is possible, but it's inelegant and prone to problems. Can I use power injectors [BiasTee devices?] to feed the 12V via the coax?

I think the MFJ-4116 units are suitable, but haven't used this type of kit before. The other option would be a different make of remotely sited PSU, but I haven't seen one that gets around the 12V supply problem. H

Thinking about it, I can do another set up, the CG-3000 under the eaves, then 10m horizontal and 10m down [with sloping upwards extension if desired]. The 12V and coax feed would go straight from the shack over short runs via the loft.

Has anyone come up with a solution to this type of problem pse?
