THat's because they are the same group of companies - at least I'm 99%  
sure of it.

If you lokk in QST at the front is a hy-gain add with the address of  
308 Industrial Park Road, Starkville, MS 39759, USA.

Throughout QST, there are various ads, which all look pretty much the  
same (1950's style if you ask me), culminating in an MFJ ad at the back.

They all have the same address.

A quick look in April 2009 QST shows:

hy-gain, pg 2
hy-gain, pg 10
Ameriton, pg 17 - not the same address, but same fax number and ZIP  
and with a few 100 yrds of each other.
VECTRONICS, pg 131
MIRAGE, pg 131
MFJ, pg 133, 135, 137, 139, 141, 143, 145, 147
