[UK-CONTEST] KEY CLICKS ON FT1000D

I've been following with interest the traffic on the key click problems related to the FT1000MP. Tapping into the collective knowledge on this exploder, can anyone please advise:
* are there simillar problems with the FT1000D? (I seem to recall reading somewhere that there might be)
* if so, are there any recommended palliative measures like INRAD / W8JI?
* are there any similar problems with the IC7800 (and solutions if there are problems)?

Many thanks in advance - might affect our choice of rig for NFD....
