SOSB 40m LP from here this year and its a very long time (if ever) since I
have heard the band in such good shape.
Saturday in particular was memorable with very loud signals from JA in the
morning, an opening to KH6 midday and enormous sigs from zones 17, 18 and
19 from 1300.
Sunday was not quite as good except for a 20 minute opening to JA at 0930
- what a thrill running Japan barefoot!
Decided to try 2 sets of phased verticals, one pair beaming to the NW and
one to the NE and very glad I made the effort in dreadful WX late last
week - they sure made a difference.
Hardest mult to get was VK9XW but 3 hours intermittent calling (it seemed
like 33!) eventually paid dividends.

156,299 pts from 729 QSOs, 110 countries and 33 zones - missed Zones 13
and 30.
