Comments:
Too many family commitments to make a serious effort so the
fun run took place.
Missed 1st night then 2nd night spoilt by poor low bands and
higher than normal
noise levels caused by heavy rain noise. Nice to find 15m
starting to play with
some big gun USA really loud Sunday afternoon GMT.10m a
disaster not a single
signal heard. After high bands perked up Sunday 40m seemed
to die for a
while.Great to hear so many DX signals loud on 40m one point
Saturday morning
had ZL KH6 AH2 W7 JA's all well over S9.
Decided not to end the contest on 80m as usually do but go
QRT at 22z due to
noisy band. As always a fun contest only spoilt by the
people who think calling
20-times without listening will get them a dx QSO. I used to
think some were on
QSK but so many were called by dx and unable to hear due to
the fact they never
stopped calling. Often the Dx stn had had 2-or-3 QSO's
before some stopped.
I just let the cluster fill the band map then clicked
away..a great run on 15m Sunday PM
resulted in 30+ entering the log in 8-mins from this
routine..click shoot and all seemed
to be in sync One call= QSO next please, great fun. No
typing just became a mouse driver
for a few minutes and using E.S.M. Mode even easier.
