[UK-CONTEST] K3

Don
I have no detailed knowledge of the K3 but a signal 15-18 kHz away from the
intended suggests leakage across the filter whose purpose is removal of the
DSP image. However, I would not expect an unwanted signal +/- the preferred
frequency. Rather I would expect to find it in one direction only.
The DSP image problem can be created in Orion through inappropriate choice
of roofing filter, though only on receive. Thank goodness.
My advice is to double check whether the unwanted signal is both + & - the
intended or offset in only one direction. If it is only one direction you
might want to check what effect use of opposite side-band CW has. If the
unwanted signals are both sides of the wanted, I would want to speak to
Elecraft before going much further.
Good luck.
