Paul,

It appears that most op's who enter the VHF contests don't spot, for 
whatever reason. It seems to be the ones coming on to give points away that 
do.

I've only had cluster access in the shack for about 18 months, before that I 
had to find people and call CQ, I find it can be distracting. My contest 
operating habits haven't changed significantly since acquiring it.

Outside contests I use it and 'KST. More time for typing, hi.
