[UK-CONTEST] VHF contests, who needs them Bah Humbug!

This is a curious contest. I would expect most entrants to be single op,
fixed station. The contest is run on 6m, 4m, 2m and 70cms, which means that
resources are spread rather thinly. Given that there is little hope of
enhanced propagation on the lower bands I would guess that activity would be
highest on 2m.
A quick look at claimed scores for yesterday and Boxing Day tends to confirm
this, with leading stations on 6m having only 20 or so QSO's, and those are
ones living nearer centres of activity.
Some people may already be back at work today.

I've just been calling my head off on the 6M contest. heard one 3 by 3
(G8ZHE, I think) who couldn't copy me, absolutely nothing else.
I'm 600ft up with legal limit power and a great take-off, is it any
wonder people don't bother these days? ;-)
