I certainly jumped when I saw membership being quoted as free to the over 70s !!

RSGB Concessionary Membership
The RSGB does offer certain categories special rates for membership of the Society. 
In all these categories we are unable to accept web applications but we are happy to accept written applications to download a form please click on the link below.
All our concessionary rates include full membership benefits with the exception of 
Joint Family members who receive an single copy of Radcom for the household. Our current 
rates are as follows:
Junior Ham Club - available to those under 21 years of age who hold an amateur radio licence - Free
Student Member - available to anyone in full time education aged 21-25 who hold an amateur 
radio licence - Free
Joint Family Membership - two or more people residing at the same address - £53.00
Over 65 Member - available to anyone over 65 years of age - £35.50
Please note that all applications for these rates must be supported by suitable proof of eligibility.
