I got up at 0115 last night (Sunday morning) and stayed on the air on 160 metres till 0730, made contact with 83 USA and Canadian stations I had only worked 2 or 3 on 160M before that.

It was very hard going at times. Best times were between 2 and 3 and 6 and 7.

Flew the Helekite with the 60 metre vertical, 400 watts with 16 - 20m ground radials. Great flying weather last night. I wanted to carry on a bit longer but the flying line got caught under one of my neighbours roof tiles in the night and could not get to max 60m. So decided to go to bed at about 0730. Went up on the ladder to retrieve the line this afternoon. Good job I have good neighbours. Better have an early night tonight, work in the morning.
