Thanks Colin,
One thing to remember about power levels is that if conditions are bad (like they were for most) some may be tempted to run more power that what they should, what is the point as the stations who call them back will be weaker and probably in the noise and wont be heard anyway so no real point. I thought
I was doing well until the Clive GM3POI worked me about 20 mins from the end and was 40 in front of me, but thats the advantage of being that far North (at this time in the CC contests).
One comment about one high scoring G station was that he was a huge signal compared to any other station, and the audio/signal was being seriously overdriven. I think that it might have been the same station as G4FNL was thinking about.
Of to India Saturday for 2 weeks so no radio for me till I get back, what will I do with myself till then? suppose will have to talk to the XYL.
Cheers Colin and GL with the rest of the CC's they are great fun,
John G4RCG

Nice one John,

Down here on the Hampshire coast all I could hear at any strength for
the first hour were GMs, Italians and eastern Europeans. The few weak
Gs I could hear couldn't hear me so running wasn't an option. 38 QSOs

S&P only.

Might I suggest that some stations should be reminded that the power
limit for the Club Contests is only 100 Watts?

Flak jacket and tin hat on.
