[UK-CONTEST] VHF FD Spotting Abuse

Maybe some of those self-spotters could have spent more time using a
keyer or even learning the code - yet again the large number of QSOs I
heard on 4m today were 2 x SSB but too marginal to attract attention
from this outpost.
I know some could have been worked on CW; I even called one (with a G4
prefix!) and the response was a depressing "please try SSB - no CW
here".
Can I suggest an informal frequency range for CW in next year's FD?
(say 70160-170 or 70250-260).
Four of the 5 stations QRV North of Inverness had CW capabilities -
lotsa points missed.
But hats off to those who tried CW on 6m yesterday; have since heard
from the operator of one of the groups down London way who was pleased
to put IO77 in the log - that QSO would have been impossible on SSB.
