All
Well we didn't have any help as far as spotting went but I would like to
thank everyone who took part or worked us during the event which we as a
new team on the block enjoyed (especially the E's on Saturday). I have
to say though as a new boy to VHF/UHF contests it would have been even
more fun had more people taken part, it does seem very under supported,
maybe things will get better going forward as "Sport radio" in general
seems to be on the up and that cant be a bad thing! See you all in the
IOTA where we will be active from Arran in Scotland EU-123.

"the 2m ES should have had a big effect on some scores."
I imagine they will have. I have to admit that I was praying for no Es
at all during the Backpackers Contest as they turn a tactical game into
something of a post-code lottery.
...they are good fun though.
I recall doing 2m contests from the East Coast in the late 70s and
hoping that conditions were flat which it was felt disadvantaged the
Welsh portables to our benefit.
...remember the days when VHF NFD seemed to attract strong teams to
Wales - long gone it seems.
