Not so sure Andy.  Must be really difficult if you are in the middle of the
country.  The majority of stations may well be south of you but there are
lots of higher value QSOs to be had in the other three directions.

Could I hypothesize that EU is beaming at you.  South coast is beaming at
you (when you're lucky).   Central England is beaming.......   at the south
coast (always).
