I would expect it is Richard.....go for it.
If we're not going to get a separate HFCC and VHFCC where similar but different needs exist, though with some element of dual committee involvement in areas like adjudication software etc, then in my personal opinion we would benefit from having a Chairman who has experience in HF, VHF and Microwave contesting. Equally, someone who actually appreciates that despite having more licensed radio amateurs now than we had 10, 15 or 20 years ago, VHF+ UK & IARU entries and participation has declined terribly over this period as well as general VHF+ narrow band use including DX'ing. This needs addressing as a matter of importance though not all falls on the shoulders of a CC but they do have a part to play.
Another important attribute is the ability to communicate with shareholders (us) far better regarding what the committee consider putting into action before doing so and then perhaps we can have less well meaning mistakes being made.
