The mind boggles. A rough back of envelope calculation shows you need 
around 130dB of attenuation to copy 1uV signal in a receiver if you 
have 100W the other side of the filter. 5kW doesn't even bear thinking 
about.

Unless they are doing some clever QSK keying to the second receiver 
perhaps?
