[UK-CONTEST] Anglesey not an Island

Excuse me chaps, but I am now confused.
If Anglesey is not an Island (either for an IOTA DXpedition in the IOTA Contest or for the IOTA award) because of the distance it is from the mainland, in this case EU005. Why is it that Holy Island is an Island ?
Apparently Holy Island is a matter of a few metres from the mainland (Anglesey) yet Anglesey is not an Island because its further from the mainland ?
Or is it the cumulative distance involved that decides? (Although this requires care, as some other Islands won't be Islands and turn into mainlands and some other mainlands will be Islands).
Does the UN know ? Wouldn't want to start some minor skirmish !

No, Ken. It doesn't count because the distance between Anglesey and the mainland isn't big enough. Bridges don't count for or against IOTA island status, but do come into play when considering 'DXpedition' status in the IOTA contest.
