[UK-CONTEST] TV DISTRIBUTION AMPS - THANKS

Thanks to the many people who offered suggestions following my request for help to find an "HF-friendly" distribution amplifier for my neighbour.

There were a few very strong contenders, mentioned by a number of people. Some key themes occurred:

Ensure it's a UHF-only amplifier
Ensure it has a Tetra filter
Look for good HF rejection figure (if quoted)
Ensure any unused outputs are terminated in 75 ohm resistors

To these I would add (in my own experience) wrap each incoming and outgoing coax several times around a torroid (the RSGB EMC ones work well). This seems as effective as bread-breaking, but without the signal loss. If the unit has a separate power supply (wall wart) do the same with that lead.

Now I will put these all to the test with the new amplifier.

Thanks to everyone who replied.
