Agreed. This weekend's activity on 10m and 15m was normal sporadic E 
which has no connection to solar activity. The longer distance stuff 
was a mixture of double/triple hop sporadic E and transequatorial. A 
solar index of 68 and sunspot number of zero over the weekend 
effectively ruled out any F layer propagation on the higher bands.

I see though this morning that a new sunspot group has appeared, from 
cycle 24 and actually VISIBLE (see http://tinyurl.com/ne9jjo) - all the 
spot groups earlier in the year have only been visible with a 
microscope. Solar flux has crept up to 69.... Maybe we will see some 
green shoots soon?
