I have no objection to the normally used abbreviations although I don't like the dit for the 5
.
I must say I came across almost no abuses at the weekend. Only one op sent me a 'u' so his report of anun made me pause for a second or two. I am however still puzzling at the s/n sent to me by UA3DUJ  which was 66k. I queried it twice, he repeated it twice then disappeared when I sent   k?.  I logged what he sent but it is probably going to cost me!

When we do these big contests we do expect, and get, 99% competent ops so it is not playing the game if you do not tell the other op if this is not to be a qso in your log. I am sure if you had continued to ask for repeats you would have got what you wanted. I must confess that I will only send cut numbers to those I am pretty confident can handle it or in response to an op who sent sent me cuts. If I misjudged it and am asked for a repeat then i will send it in full. However as Andy has suggested it takes no real time or effort to learn these abbreviations.
