[UK-CONTEST] HF Contests Committee. UK District Areas

Thanks Peter,
The missing factoid in my use of the Contests site
http://www.vhfcc.org/hfcc/information/districtcodes.shtml
was that these are the PostCode Towns in the start of Postcodes, not some
random list invented by the RSGB.
The term Postcode Town does not appear there and the term "UK District" did
not immediately convey that information to me; lack of recent familiarity
with the UK Postcode structure meant I did not spot the connection.
Now that that penny (black) has dropped, your explanation makes a lot of
sense.
Regards and thanks
Jim

Well generally it's pretty obvious (look up postcode of nearest town),
but if you need more precision, try streetmap.co.uk or nearby.org.uk
for lots of coordinate conversions (including QTH Locator or NGR to
postcode)
