Our annual Night On the Air club challenge event from our club meeting.
If you worked G4BRA then you worked me. Reasonably successful but for
most of the time I was sitting in the room alone while the other
members played on 20m. 83 QSOs in the 10W section (running 8W for a
change...), good inter-G propagation though a distinct lack of GMs and
I also seemed to work every PA3 in the callbook... Station was a 90ft
centre fed inverted doublet fed with 300 ohm ribbon and my usual K2,
battery powered (saves bringing a power supply...).

The first few QSOs were a bit problematic. I had wrongly positioned the
laptop and paddle, with the paddle to the left of the laptop making
right hand use a bit hard (quickly rearranged). And I had a hiccup once
calling a station as G3YM... whoops, then having to convince the chap I
really was G4BRA. I don't think I did this again, if any of you worked
G3YMC it was another booboo or a pirate. G4BRA is not a familiar
callsign in this event so some time was spent correcting mis-copies.

Not sure if it has generated enough interest to get more club members
on in next year's CC - but it was a good evening and we had a couple of
new M6 members along so maybe they will get interested in CW.
