[UK-CONTEST] Noise cancelling headphones

Just to add that I use noise cancelling phones, mainly because of the amp
noise.

The connection to previous emails is that I bought the amp from SJJ (an
Explorer - the amp that is) and it has very noisy blowers (the amp, that
is). I think he sold it to me because it interfered with his talking.

I bought the Fujikon phones, which were personally recommended by Roger over
a beer in Chessington. In fact, I bought two pairs because they were about
£12 each, from memory.

I confirm Roger's comments. I bought a pair after I saw his article
although I don't need them to reduce amp noise as the Acom 1000 is quiet
anyway! Very comfortable and excellent on marginal signals and airplanes
as the guys sez. Doesn't help for SSB though as there is no boom mic, I
clamp a Heil Headset on for that!
