[UK-CONTEST] BERU

Last year, as 2E0RYB, I had a little dabble in BERU.  I was new to radio, CW
and contesting but thought I would have a go.  When responding to a number
of CQ’s I was rebuffed with ‘BERU only’, and did not push the point, I was
glad enough to have some QSOs.  In my soapbox comments I made the point that
several commonwealth stations had not wanted to work me.  Having looked at
the list of Commonwealth Call Areas, I can see that as neither M nor 2x0
calls are shown as being part of the UK licensing system they might be
thought not to be qualifying calls and although it is probably too late to
change this for this coming contest, it might be something that the
committee would like to consider.

 

This year I have the confidence to confirm that M0RYB is a bona fide UK call
