BTW, the Samsung came from PC World (not Maplins) although John Lewis were
£10 cheaper - but they never had any in.
I got the NC10 because the keyboard seemed right and PC Pro seemed to rate
it the top one too. I can't remember the reasons, something about 160gb hard
drive, Win XP and a gig of memory. Lasts about 6 to 7 hours on one charge.

I bought the Samsung NC10 @ £330 or so and dual USB to Serial port @ £25
from Maplins.
All within last 6 weeks for use as /p in the scout hut etc.
Works great.
