The good news was the signal. Just look at the pix....

The bad news is that there were power cuts totalling in excess of five
hours. 945 QSOs (net) and 8,175pts was the end result. 

Thanks to all those that called. And a big raspberry to the Commonwealth
station who kept saying "not BERU" to me. Presumably he was copying the call
as "BY8XF"!
