A club licence is to all intents and purposes identical to a normal 
individual licence so yes it can be used abroad under the CEPT 
regulations. The only differences are that it can be used by any club 
member with the appropriate level licence (there used to be a 
requirement to notify these to Ofcom but that has now been dropped) and 
to use the special GX etc prefixes.

Special abbreviated contest calls are of course something different as 
they are issued as NOVs on club licences so these could not be used 
outside the UK.

I think this is the correct interpretation, maybe Colin can confirm.
