Well, I wouldn't call myself expereinced, only having entered for the first 
time last year, but I was very surprised and pleased to get a Winners 
Certificate in the post a few weeks back for the LP section UK, so must be 
doing something right.

Think the old phrase 'you gotta be in it to win in' applies (as with most 
contests at the bottom of the cycle)....it's all about being on the right 
band at the right time, and making the most of those short openings on the 
higher bands e.g. I wouldn't have expected to work VK on 15m in BERU with 
low power and a vertical, but I got on the band at the right time when there 
was a small window of propagation.
