Is it just me or are all the posts not getting through to everyone?

John mentioned earlier that he missed one and now Chris refers to Callum's
posting and that's not appeared here.

Callum's (M0MCX) point is a very very good one.

To get more people involved in VHF contests, it is vital to open the field
to the "average" ham with vertical antennae and the ubiquitous TS-2000.  A
category for such amateurs would help generate a lot more activity on the
bands in my opinion.  It might even get some "hooked" on contesting and
encourage them to improve their stations!!!

Yes it is not "pure VHF/UHF contesting" (whatever that is!) but it would
generate more activity on the bands and allow more clubs to advertise the
activity nights to their "average" members...
