Hear hear...

This issue keeps coming up regularly on the various reflectors I 
subscribe to. Both methods have their advantages but overall the 
current system is best for this reflector in keeping unintentional 
postings and other garbage out. Provided you are aware of the method 
used in any particular list it surely is not an issue. Just remember to 
change the default sender when replying to a post (eg have uk-
contest.com in your address book). Some people choose to use 'reply 
all' as a way out, but this is far from the best way as the originator 
then gets two copies and is often done because a few email programs 
don't offer you a better way (that one which the folks in Redmond 
install as default in Windows comes to mind...). Decent mail programs 
can easily select what combination of recipients you want....
