>>> How difficult can it be to decide between 'Reply' and 'Reply All'
Roger, don't belittle people's views.
I'm a member of groups where my responses are to THE GROUP - and that's the
way it works.
If you contest committee and RSGB peeps want your own group, go and start
one. The rest of us are happy to contribute to a GROUP. Most people here
don't need to guard what they say, we are in this together
to discuss contesting and radio - certainly that's what's happened in the
past - although people seem to be extremely guarded.
To suggest that by changing the reply-to option would change the flavour of
the group is utterly ridiculous. And you can't compare the utter dross that
used to be on the CDXC reflector to here. What changes groups is subtle
management, not reply options. This group already has subtle management, to
the point where unless you are a senior member of the committee or RSGB, you
are unlikely to speak out (unless you have my sort of diplomacy!).
I still vote for having a reply option that conforms to EVERY group that I'm
a member of that doesn't have large numbers of G3s as members :)
Still, I've not heard a valid reason why NOT to change other than "that's
what we do around here". Don't argue with the powers that be.
Hmmm. Food for thought.

How difficult can it be to decide between 'Reply' and 'Reply All'. Anyway,
we went through all this on the CDXC reflector a few months ago: switching
to reply only to the sender cleaned up the dross hugely: quality not
quantity. It's not a chat-room, it's a bulletin-board. Leave it alone!
