I agree, Vargardas are worth considering. I guess I forgot them because, as
you say, where do you obtain them now ?

I also forgot to mention Wimo. Only available direct from Germany as far as
I know, but I imported some direct from the company a while back with no
problem.

I really like the Vargardas....currently using a 9 ele on 2m, claimed 12dBd 
on an approx 15ft boom. Certainly seems to work well e.g. plenty of WSJT MS 
QSOs during the major showers with 50W at the feed point. They come up from 
time to time on Junksale for 50 quid or so, not sure if there's still a UK 
importer for new ones? I'd get another if I could and stack a pair.

The I0JXX designs look good too.
