Firstly, GM1TGY was distributing Vargarda antennas last year. His website is www.vargarda.co.uk.Secondly, on the subject of domineering contest stations I'm in full agreement that the present scoring system needs changing. You need to create a leveller playing field than currently exists. If they can do it in Golf, with the handicap system, then why can't the amateur radio community do it for the UKAC? This doesn't mean an "all entrants win prizes" culture but one that rewards UK contacts. It is never going to be completely fair but surely fairer than the present system?
The question is finding the right handicap and I think Rays suggestion is the best to date. Surely you enter a competition to win, no other reason. If the winner is already decided before the contest has started purely down to his geographic location then what is the point of entering? ------
