[UK-CONTEST] 50mhz AC? what A?

Hi,

Is it normal to hear absolutely nothing on a 50mhz AC,    I thought  I'd hear a few stations, but in fact didn't!

I eventually did manage to bag g0bsu/p in far away (!) IO83, thanks for persisting guys, at a well deserved 3/1  but that was it.   There was someone quite a bit stonger on 50.172ish for a while indulging in a local chat with no call signs that I heard and I failed to break in but that was almost it.   I heard a GM on CW around about 103 but they faded right out and I have to turn the beam by hand which is quite a trek at the mo (new rotator cable now obtained  :-) so I didn;t manage to find them again.

If that was typical I doubt I'll bother again.
