it might actually be the modem that's causing the problem and not the line.
I have a similar problem and its my wireless hub that was supplied by BT. I never suffered before I got
the wireless hub and the old one I gave away before I noticed the fault.
Might be worth while trying a different wireless modem/hub if you can.
A few reports I read claimed the netgear is a better modem but not had the chance to try myself
if it is the adsl line then I read about a filter you can make or buy will look and see if I can find it
