[UK-CONTEST] 2nd 1.8 - Keep your ears open!

I was not the VE3 who originally wrote, but I will also be on during the 2nd 1.7MHz contest. The best I have ever done in an RSGB 1.8MHz contest was 17 Gs - I would like a few more on Saturday!

Some VE stations have a lot of land available - I am one of the lucky ones - but there are plenty more in urban locations where garden sizes are very much like the UK. I am certainly likely to hear better than the average G station - but one the other hand I am allowed a lot more power and I have a big transmit antenna so it should be fairly reciprocal!

ps Put 'lucky' in context. I am pretty far north and any day now I can expect snow which will not melt until next April....
