[UK-CONTEST] 50MHz UKAC 24th Nov 2009

I've just got home from the club and have put our entry in for this evenings 50MHz UKAC contest.  What an evening that was, conditions were diabolical and we had S5 of noise covering the entire band no matter which way we beamed this evening.  

It was a real struggle to work the 18 stations we did, I'm sure there were many who called us that we couldn't hear due to the noise and we even considered packing up early and going home.

No danger of back-of-the-beam itis from us in JO01 tonight, we only worked one station on the back of the beam and that was Frank, PE1EWR!

Our little group have provisionally decided that for next year we'll probably can the Jan/Feb and Nov/Dec 6m UKACs and just operate when there's more chance of activity.
