In CQWW CW, the exchange is always 599, plus the Zone, with UK being 14. 
All contest logging programmes automatically fill in the zone.  There a few 
to watch, such as US calls (esp 4s), where the zone might be other than the 
contesting logging program suggests.  So, slowing down is not necessary 
since you will know the zone, particularly if you have listened to the 
previous QSO.

Do have a go this weekend.  It's simply the best contest of the year.
