I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the problem of typing speed (or 
even writing speed).
I believe that unless you are a touch typist (& how many of us are?) 
it's difficult to type with
two fingers at much more than 20 w.p.m? It's one thing to copy a 
callsign at 40 w.p.m but another
to type it into the log when perhaps the next station is already calling 
you.
Having said that there are those among us who seem to have the trick of 
typing with one hand
whilst at the same time keying with the other, how do they do that?
