[UK-CONTEST] Antenna for 160m Club Calls

Hello Robin - thanks for your reply and the other 5 I have so far.

Essentially, I'm after any meaningful results for UK 160m antennas first
(NVIS out to about 500 miles) - so if anyone has any other real current
data, I would be most appreciative. I'll certainly publish a table here in
the first instance.

My own antenna for Club Calls was an untuned dipole at about 70 feet with
sloping downwards legs to about 35 feet fed with ladderline. Initially, we
were going to feed this with coax but we thought the bandwidth might be too
low, hence the ladderline and a tuner.

Anyway, if I can have any other indications, that would be superb.

Anyone else..?

Callum.

Callum

160m Dipole centre fed (co-ax, no balun) at 50ft - far end at 30ft running
roughly N/S
Ground drops away quite steeply to river level appx 500yards away
Wellbrooke loop at 5ft (!) main receive antenna
QTH just outside Bath
Appx 120 Q's

Hope that's of some use ... perhaps an indication of the other results would
be of general interest ?
