[UK-CONTEST] Contest Calls & OfCom Local Office Notification

Hi. I administer a new special contest callsign (G3V) on behalf of Verulam
ARC (G3VER).

Part of the terms of the NoV are that we should give notice to the local
OfCom office prior to each use.

Having spoken with the OfCom office for the relevant Post Code, I was
re-directed to a central number where I was told that it was no longer
necessary to give such notification.  I did mention that if so, their forms
are out of date.

Has anyone else any experience on this?
