I have just heard from the beacon keeper that GB3VHF is very close to 
being back on the air, maybe within the week from its new site at 
Fairseat near Wrotham.
I am sure that many VHF contesters use the beacon as a prorogation 
indicator. The problem is that it has cost £250 or so more that was 
estimated (extra charges from the riggers, VAT etc), so if any of you 
VHF types feel able to cough up a few quid, Chris FDZ would be very pleased.
