Like MANY I adjust the phonetics to the situation. If condx are good and
signals "loud & Clear" I use the standard GOLF but I definitely find that
GERMANY cuts the mustard better in a pile-up or when the Eu zoo is out in
force or condx are poor or variable or both, on 6m for example. I will
continue to use that when I feel necessary.

Indeed... a classic case was tonight, on 20m, trying to work PT7CB. 100 
watts & a wire antenna.

He got the FHM straightaway, 3 Golf Zero's later he still hadnt gotten 
the prefix.... a quick "Germany Zero" and all was well.
