Hello,

Barry (GM3YEH), thanks for the webinar link. All clear now
Roger (G3SXW) and Callum (M0MCX) thanks a million for your offline comments and help.

Has anyone tried the Microham Micro2R yet? What do we think? I cannot find anything similar for the price anywhere else. I want to try SO2R in the near future but ot sure which way to go on the controlling equipment.....

Kind regards

Garo, G0PZA

  Hi Garo,
There's a very informative recorded webinar called 'Inside the CQ WPX
Contest' on the Potomac Valley Radio club website. It's presented by Randy
K5ZD who is the Director of CQ WPX. He covers the band change rules.

During the recent SP DX Contest I noticed a station located in the UK deliberately using the wrong call sign to elicit a reply and once he had it he then reverted to his correct call sign.? Surely that is unsporting?? Surely it would be wrong for me to use 3M4V and then correct it after contact has been made to my correct call sign G3MZV.? What some people will get up to in order to win makes me so cross I feel like giving up amateur radio and spending my spare time playing lawn bowls where we can expect some doubtful practises.

  Gordon 3M4V? (sorry G3MZV)

  Gordon

I think naming and shaming would be appropriate. Appalling behaviour.
